Celebrating International Women's day
International women’s day is cause for celebration and praise for womanhood but also, a time to stop and reflect about the female world and relationships between us.
After more than a decade working closely with women and empowering them behind the scenes, I have to recognise that sisterhood is not always there unfortunately.
As per our nature we are prone to take care of others however, very often we cannot avoid to feel threatened or judged or simply in competition with other women.
Working on our confidence and self-acceptance is key and as a Style coach, one of my duties is to enhance my client’s self-assurance but also, helping them to be less critical toward themselves and as a result, happier and more approachable.
Only if we learn to be kinder towards ourselves we can then be more open to others. Often we are scared of showing any kind of vulnerability, let’s not mention in the workplace however, let’s not forget that this is our beauty and what makes us stronger.
So sisters, let’s become each other's raving fans without an agenda! This not only will make a huge difference to other women, it’ll also make you feel satisfied and happy about yourself.
How can we implement this into our daily life?
Don’t be reticent about recommendations, don’t shy away from what you want to say or wear, look for a woman you can mentor or advocate for…
Let’s give each other credit and contribute to our success, we always lead the way!
